Turkey's Erdogan Puts the Brakes on NATO's Nordic Expansion

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he will not permit Sweden and Finland to join NATO on account of their positions on Kurdish aggressors, messing up plans to fortify the western military collusion after Russia's intrusion of Ukraine.

At a question and answer session in Ankara late Monday, Erdogan smothered assumptions that Turkish resistance to the amplification plan could be effectively settled.
